After the runaway success of The Wick’s inaugural year, The Wick has returned with a road-blocked launch that saw 2,000 discerning shoppers and foodie revelers descend. The Wick will be situated at The Old Baths every Sunday this summer, curating the best that East London’s creative community has to offer and will be open every Sunday until October 25th at the Old Baths, Hackney Wick.
The outdoor marketplace is a one-stop shop for all your Sunday delectations; pick your way through stalls showcasing the next generation of hot designers and high-end vintage fashion, find that perfect retro interior decor piece you’ve been after, or work your way round the gourmet street food market – craft ales, organic wine and boozy coffee optional!
The boutique and food traders will be on rotation each week, meaning The Wick will have the latest of what East London has to offer. And with Sunday being the day of rest, why not catch some rays over at the beach, jump in one of the hot-tubs or while away the afternoon at the Tiki bar? There’s literally something for everyone.
Traders include: The Gypset Diary, Lucy In Disguise, Boho Rose, Adorn, 3 Button Hand Me Down, Favourite Things, Love & Wear, Dry Cry, Nina Baker, Magpie On The Run, Miss Goodweather and Love Support Unite.
Street Food from: Pizza Surgery, Danger Dogs Hotdogs, Yum Jungle, Missions Mariscos, Pulp’d Juices and Black Cab Coffee Company plus many more.
Activities on rotation: Kiss & Make-Up Corner, Mystical Corner with tarot, crystals and Indian head massage.
And if you like your Sundays with a little bit of disco, head over to Kubicle’s dancefloor for a spot of indulgence.
The Wick is brought to you by Kubicle girls Liz Mendez, Sonia Anderson (The girls have produced and hosted areas at Glastonbury, Lovebox, Secret Garden Party, Burning Man and across Croatia, Berlin and Iceland) and Sarah Owen (Sarah is the founder of luxury vintage label Lucy In Disguise and has dressed everyone from Suki Waterhouse and Gemma Arterton to Mary Charteris and Karen Gillan)
