Chinoiserie at Jumeirah Carlton Tower in Knightsbridge is currently ringing in the festive season with a glamorous Christmas themed afternoon tea to celebrate the rich flavours and scents of the season.
The tea has been designed by master patissier and star of Channel 4’s Baking Mad series, Eric Lanlard, working closely with the hotel’s Executive Chef Simon Young.
Visitors can choose from delectable festive treats such as a cinnamon spiced brioche with chicken liver parfait, chestnuts and red onion marmalade and a bridge roll filled with whiskey smoked salmon and egg mayonnaise. Sweet treats include an eggnog trifle shot with mulled wine jelly, spicy cranberry compote, and custard or a rich chocolate and orange liquor pop cake with a surprise centre – decorated to look like a traditional Christmas pudding.
All to the tune of the resident harpist, prices start at £40 per person (sans champagne) and go to £55 with a glass of rosé champagne.
