Idyllic Youth Ltd is a neoteric clothing brand. A combination of both vintage and new clothing that has been re-worked with studs, spikes, leather and other materials to make each item unique; one thing all of our clothing does have in common is our distinctive three skull studs.
Alternative, eccentric, experimental, gothic, hippie, fabulous; are a few words used to describe the style of Georgina Billings, founder of Idyllic Youth Ltd. Her aim is to implement at least one of these styles into each item of her clothing.

Where are you and what did you do today?
I am currently in my kitchen, I’ve just finnished marrinating some
lamb chops for dinner! Today, I took a trip over to Holloway to have a
look in fabric shop “Reels and Rems” I’m on the hunt for a bright,
fruity print fabric with “strawberry picking” in mind. I want to
re-work some denim with the fabric – a perfect cover up for a summers
evening in a country pub, after a hard day’s graft of picking fruits
and smiling in the sun with loved ones! Very cheesy. Very British! (I
am yet to find the fabric though )
Who is on the top of your best-dressed list?
Gwen Stefani – the way she dresses represents her; an inner ska girl,
coutured diva all bound together with an old skool twist!
Can you tell us what inspired you to start Idyllic Youth?
Idyllic Youth started as a hobby – I started customising clothes in my
wardrobe for myself and friends – I posted a few of the items on
social media sites (facebook, instagram, twitter) and had people (that
I didn’t know) asking me if they could buy items – and where they
could get them from! I started taking orders and as they say… the
rest is history!
What’s your favorite hangout in London & Worldwide?
Portobello Road in London – on a Saturday. I love rummaging around the
market; you can find beautiful fur jackets, vintage one off items, you
can haggle with market stall owners, people watch, admire the vast
variety of different fashions, grab a freshly shaken cocktail, house
music in the background – PERFECT!
Chanel or Alexander Mcqueen?
Have you seen my logo?!? McQueen wins hands down!! I love his skulls
and the subtle gothic hints of his work. I read in an interview of his
a few years ago, that when asked “who do you design for?” he replied
“A strong independant woman who loves and lives fearlessly in equal
measure” – that has always stuck with me and I’d like to think I am an
example of the woman he described.
Can you give us one word you can use to describe fashion?
Adventurous
What’s in store for the next year?
New collections; different colours, differerent embellishments, more
celebrity advertisement and hopefully a few more stockists!
What do you do to get away from everything?
Leave my phone at home and go shopping in old vintage shops/ charity
shops on my own – treat myself to lunch and a glass of wine. We all
need alone time sometimes!
What was the last thing that really made you stop and stare?
An old lady in a tight leopard print mini skirt and beautiful vintage
kitten heels with silk socks and the most amazing pink wash blow dried
up-do hairstyle. It sounds so wrong, but I hope I have that attitude
and style when I’m a nanna!!
