Urban Outfitters have announced the launch of an exclusive collaboration with Fila – dropping mid June. Iconic sportswear label Fila had a strong presence amongst celebrities in the 1990’s: Chloe Sevigny, Nelly Furtado and Lee McQueen to name a few. With this aesthetic still playing a big part within fashion for SS15, a capsule range of 11 womenswear stand-out garments, has been created.
Urban Outfitters x Fila offers reworked shapes which have traditionally worked well for the Urban Outfitters customer. With reference to archive styles and logos, the Urban Outfitters design team worked closely with Fila to create modern silhouettes and colour tones for the revival of the 90’s trend.
A pastel colour palette has been injected into the cropped all-over print tees and branded sweats, giving them an instant Spring/Summer update, whilst the remainder of the collection incorporates more traditional Fila styles which were synonymous with the brand in the 90’s.
